A Little History On Gina
With the release of her third single, “Friday” in 2015, Gina has proven to be an artist with undeniable talent and lasting appeal. Based in New York city, this determined and ambitious singer, songwriter, actor, and social media maven is an avid creator and performer who has curated a fan base of people who enjoy an eclectic contemporary pop sound that fuses modern day instrumentals with a hint of old school soul/r&b.
Gina Kiara Napolitano (born October 30, 1991) known as Gina “Gunz” is an American singer and songwriter. She is most famously known for her sultry vocals and witty lyrics. Gina was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico. She is the youngest of 4 siblings. 2 of which were from prior marriages. Gina was raised alongside her brother, Patrick Colón.
When she was 4, her parents (mother, Diana Perez and father, Gene Michael Napolitano) left the island and moved to South Florida where they purchased their first home.
In 1999, her parents divorced. The split caused the singer to gravitate towards music; using singing and writing as an emotional outlet. When she was 13, she moved with her mother and brother to Broward County.
